Kids love to play, they love to climb trees, swim in rivers or oceans, grow plants and decorate their house with flowers. When schools expect them to fit in industrial models of development they lose this natural touch. How can we ensure that schooling strengthens people's connection with place, their relationship with the land and the water, plants and animals, as well as other human beings?
